Terms of Use & Privacy

Effective July 7, 2026 · Draft for beta

1. What Compass is — and isn't

Compass is an educational training tool for psychology trainees and mental-health professionals. Its simulated patients, AI examiners, grading, and study materials exist to help you rehearse. Compass is not a medical device, does not provide clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for supervised clinical training, licensure requirements, or an actual comprehensive examination. AI-generated content can be wrong; verify anything you rely on against primary sources and your supervisors.

2. Your account

Sign-in uses your Microsoft account. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person; access codes and subscriptions attach to the individual account and may not be shared or resold.

3. Content ownership and restrictions

The cases, rubrics, model answers, quiz banks, study materials, and AI-generated experiences in Compass are the intellectual property of the operator. You may not copy, scrape, extract, redistribute, or use them to build a competing product or train an AI system. Cases you author yourself remain yours; storing them in Compass grants us only what is needed to operate the feature.

4. Simulated content

All patients, case histories, and photographs depict fictional people. Any resemblance to real persons is coincidental. Do not enter real patient information — real names, records, or protected health information — anywhere in Compass. It is a training simulator, not a clinical record system.

5. Payments

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Plans renew monthly until cancelled; you can cancel any time from the billing portal and keep access through the paid period. Usage limits (sessions, session length, daily AI calls) are part of each plan's definition and are enforced automatically. Beta access codes grant time-boxed access and expire automatically.

6. Privacy — what we store

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. To request deletion of your account and history, contact the operator.

7. Acceptable use

Don't probe, overload, or attempt to bypass security or usage metering; don't attempt to extract other users' data; don't use Compass for any purpose other than professional education.

8. Liability

Compass is provided "as is" during beta. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and total liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the preceding three months.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated as the product evolves; material changes will be flagged on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
